  On June 6 together with 7 students from the correctional boarding school #4 we left for sunny Italy. Our route was going through the places familiar from the last year: Lekko, Milan, Florence. This time the trip was devoted to a family rather than to touring. We came to Italy for a month to provide our children with the opportunity to stay with the Italian families they met last May and kept in touch with since (through mail and telephone). |

  On May 31 there was Ice-cream Day in Sokolniki Park. Maria’s Children (among other NGO within Tak Prosto Project) took part and painted a collective painting with those children who wished to participate as well as taught them juggling. |

 .jpg) On June 27 kids from boarding school #28 attended an unusual workshop where our guest Masha Kicheyeva from Happy Park taught them to make gingerbread men. Children decorated them with edible trimming and wrote a story about gingerbread boys and girls.
Thank you, Masha and volunteers for bringing fairy tales to our children every Saturday. |

 .jpg) On June 19 we had Onegin party at the studio. The idea belonged to our good friend and volunteer, psychologist Natasha Kolmanovskaya, she also became a stage manager and costume designer. Our staff, volunteers and senior students took part in it. Everyone was to recite a certain extract from Pushkin’s poem “Evgeniy Onegin”. Our costumes were made out of crinkled paper but looked real. |

.jpg)  On June 16 Charitable Fund of Animal Protection BIM invited us to one of the shelters BIM-Khoteichy. Young people from psychoneurologic boarding-school #11 went on this trip.
We were received warmly and showed around. There are different animals living here, such as all kinds of dogs and cats, horses, rabbits, pigs, foxes, nutrias, as well as a camel, a snake and monkeys. On the way back kids counted 18 different species they saw. |

  Twice our kids visited Tsaritsino touring the park and Big Palace. This is a beautiful part of Moscow and some of the kids have never been here before. On May 20 it was a group from boarding school #80 and on June 3 – from boarding school #4.

  On June 2 Romanov Cinema invited Maria’s children. There were three shows organized and kids from boarding school ##7, 28, 4 and 11 had a chance to watch a computer-animated comedy Up, altogether there were 150 people, including teachers and accompanying volunteers. The hosts provided popcorn and coca-cola for the audience as well as “kiddie surprises” as a farewell gift. There was a burst of applause in the midpoint of the film, which proved how greatly the audience was impressed. |

  On May 30 we took children from boarding school #4 to the wonderful Botanical Garden of Moscow State University to Vorobiev Hills. During the excursion we were surrounded by the fragrant scent of lilac, phloxes, peonies and many other plants. Children learned many new and interesting facts, were making pictures of flowers and enjoyed the beauty of the nature. |

.jpg) .jpg) On May 23-24 our volunteers visited an orphanage in the village of Spass-Tallitsa, Kirov Region. Pre-school children live in this institution and they were very glad to welcome clowns. Volunteers not only played with children and took them for a walk; they also helped to plant potatoes at the orphanage vegetable garden. Ruslan Lartsev painted one of the walls. Here and Now (Zdes’ and Seichas) Charitable Fund was funding the trip. Thank you, all volunteers for the unforgettable event for children. |

  On May 22 the 2nd graders from the boarding school #4 visited the Brave Rabbit puppet show at the Obraztsov Theater. On May 28 and 29 kids from boarding schools ##7 and 11 watched Alladin’s Magic Lamp show and Heracles.
Children were delighted to see the show as well as to visit the theatre museum and watch the famous old clock with moving figurines on the façade of the building. Thank you, administration of the theater named after Sergei Obraztsov for free tickets for our kids. |
