November 2008 Charitable "Auction". Results

On November 14th Maria’s Children traditional November charitable fundraising “Auction” took place. The auctioneer was as usually the Great Patch Adams. The Katerina Hotel hosted this event at its beautiful premises, and Rosinter restaurants served all participants with delicious dinner. We would like to thank our partners and friends. It was true celebration for children and adults, for clowns and serious people, for artists and fans of their arts. It was an occasion for us to introduce great work and achievements of Maria’s Children and share our plans for future.

Growing global economic crisis makes all of us to be nervous while looking into future. But our donors are feeling responsibility for children and support us in this tough time. The results of that auction exceeded our expectations, it was the most effective and successful auction at Maria’s Children’s history! $172,000 were raised during the auction, and $142,000 of them go to support programs of Maria’s Children Art Center. Other goals were support of Chizhyk-Pyzhik studio in S.-Petersburg and projects of The Gesundheit Institute.

We are very grateful to these wonderful people, our good friends who supported and support us and take part in children’s life: Alexander Udalov (UMACO). Arkady Volozh and Iliya Segalovich (Yandex), Rostislav Ordovsky-Tanayevsky Blanco, Vladimit Mekhrweshvili and Lori Daytner (Rosinter restaurants), Simon Boddy (Vitol), Sophie and Roland Nash (Renaissance Capital), Brian Bellerose (Kazimir Partners), Julia Zagachin (First Special Depositary), Alla and Justin Lifflander (Hewlett Packard), Indrani Goradia and Holton Rower (clowns team of Patch Adams).

Our Dear Friends! Our children have no mothers and fathers, and it’s so sad, but it’s so great that they have all of you, thank you!

Thanks to your support we can continue our programs: camps, clowns trips, wall paintings, everyday various classes for children and youth!

Thanks to all volunteers who helped to make our “Auction” bright and festive, and special gratitude to Iliya Kolmanovsky for his high-level translation.
