Doctor-Clown Patch Adams and Maria’s Children Art Center

Patch Adams – is the world famous Clown Doctor, one of creator of laugh therapy and clowns movement. He unites people and inspire them to help each others. All his life he is with those who needs support with humor and hope at their tough life circumstances through all over the world. For more than 25 years every November he comes and brings an international team of volunteer clowns to offer support to children in hospitals and orphanages in Moscow and S.-Petersburg.

«Maria’s Children Art  Center» since 1997 helps orphans and children with special needs for their art rehabilitation and social adaptation. Children from Moscow orphanages are offered various art and social activities that should help them to grow up responsive and responsible, curious and active people.

Patch Adams has been helping the studio from its very start. Being a talented artiste, he conducted the studio’s charity auctions of children’s artwork and taught our staff and students clowning, the skill of distracting sick children from their health problems.

This year Patch Adams for the first time come to Russia to offer two author seminars «Living A Life of Joy» and «What is Your Love Strategy?» not for children but for adults. Each seminar lasts 4,5 hours and includes fun exercises, text-ideas and questions-answers. Patch Adams has done such a seminars for all ages, CEOs, Doctors, and blue collars workers.

«Living A Life of Joy»: focus of this lecture/workshop is life as a choice. Patch discusses how to discover the incredible thrill of choosing to live everyday with joy. I show how easy it is and how good it is for your health. Anyone can do it. I’ve done this for 25 years in 60 countries.  (Patch Adams). 

«What is Your Love Strategy?»: Lecture/workshop on the importance of having strategy for loving yourself, the planet and others. Patch provides insights into the need for such a strategy and also takes a close look at the conception of love and the theory of strategy. Patch offers his approach and helps the audience design, explore and implement their own love strategy. I show some films of love strategies and give some wonderful love strategies. I’ve done this for 11 years in 50 countries.” (Patch Adams)

The seminars take place on 2010, June 18 (starts at 15:00) and June 19 (starts at 11:00) at Katerina-City Hotel
